His journey began at the age of three, drumming on a plastic Muppets drumset, under the guidance of his father. Since those early days, his passion for percussion has grown into a career that has captivated audiences worldwide. Michael’s dynamic stage presence, technical prowess, and versatility have made him a standout performer in venues ranging from intimate jazz clubs to large festivals with over 15,000 attendees. His drumming expertise is complemented by his vocal talents, providing smooth backing harmonies that enrich every performance. As the Musical Director for several successful tribute shows, he has shaped performances that are known for their authenticity and emotional depth.

A world-class snare drummer, Michael has competed in ten seasons of international drumline competitions and is widely recognized as a composer and clinician in the marching arts. He is a frequent speaker at music educator conferences, sharing his knowledge and passion. As the Executive Director and co-founder of the Canadian Drumline Association, Michael has played a key role in advancing the percussive arts and fostering a vibrant community of drummers and percussionists.
